Folktale: King Solomon and Ashmodai

I’m so excited to share this video of Maggid Batya Podos telling the Jewish Folktale “King Solomon and Ashmodai.”  Of all Jewish Folktales, this one has influenced my writing more than any other. I love the complexity of the demon Ashmodai and hope you enjoy Batya’s rendition of the story as much as I do.

Cathy Zheutlin produced this video as a part of Holy Rascals, a non-profit media group that embraces the discovery of meaning, community and deep spirituality without the limitations of institutional religion and dogma.
